The galvanized coating retains performance in chemical solutions with pH levels from 4.0 to 12.5. The change in the rate of corrosion affects:

Zinc coating when immersed in a solution with a pH level of 4.0-12.5 is coated with a chemical film, which reduces the corrosion rate. The chemical composition of such a film depends on the solution in which the product is immersed.

Since most solutions have a pH level from 5.5 to 12.5, the containers made of galvanized steel are in demand for storage and transportation of chemical solutions. Important! Long and frequent interaction with acid and alkaline solutions is not recommended.
