Hot-dip galvanizing "Salavatmetall"
One of the most time-tested and cost-effective coating for metal products is considered a hot-dip galvanizing "Salavatmetall". This method makes it possible to obtain structures with a service life of more than half a century. The process itself involves immersing the product in a container with molten zinc. This allows in the process of multi-stage chemical reactions to obtain a protective film on the surface with anti-corrosion characteristics.
Hot-dip galvanizing is exposed to steel of different types (grades). In this case, the quality of the surface varies in thickness, color and the presence/absence of gloss. The positive aspects of galvanization include:
- extended product life;
- no need for additional care and repair;
- in case of mechanical damage, the spent structure is self-repairing;
- maintaining high thermal conductivity;
- the ability to produce an internal coating.
Cons process is not so much. This limitation of the dimensions of the containers may not always fit too more design. Zinc melt is consumed intensively, and the coating does not always get the same thickness.
Technological features of hot-dip galvanizing
The hot dip galvanizing line "Salavatmetall" is a series of sequential operations. Primary training, which includes operations such as:
- the degreasing of the surface;
- another wash to remove acid residues.
At the last stage, a protective film is formed on the surface, which prevents oxidation of the metal. The design is treated with a solution of flux, dried.
The most important process is galvanizing. To obtain a coating of a certain thickness, it is important to consider the steel grade, the residence time in the container. After that, the finished product is cooled.
Design, subjected to hot-dip galvanized, find wide application in gas, oil industry, shipbuilding and the automotive industry, and private construction. They have an extended service life and more enhanced protection. Among such products:
- profiled sheeting;
- water pipe;
- road barriers-nets;
- power line elements;
- window sills;
- bridge structure;
Often such operations are subjected to the design, which are planned to be used in the open air.
