As a result, this leads to a negative effect of oxygen on the metal surface. On it corrosion is formed and the steel product begins to collapse.

If a layer of zinc is applied to the surface, it creates a protective dense film. It protects iron from destruction and prevents air from penetrating the metal.

Hot-dip galvanizing strip method

Our company managed to establish a working process for hot-dip galvanizing according to GOST 9.307-89. The development uses the best modern equipment, which stabilizes the workflow. It makes quality durable and reliable in operation. The thickness range of the protective coating is created from 40 µm to 200 µm. At the moment, the method of galvanizing strip sizes 4x40 and 25x4 6 meters and 12 meters consists of two main stages: preparation and immersion in the zinc melt:

  • fluxing;
  • degreasing;
  • washing;
  • drying;
  • etching.

The degree of purification of the steel strip must fully comply with the requirements specified in GOST 9.402-2004. The main is the immersion of the product in the bath with molten metal. Zinc is heated to the melting temperature, or rather to +450°C. as a result, a stable and durable layer of zinc is formed. The new coating is also regulated by GOST 9.307-89 and should be fully suitable for its properties.
